HANAP HABI: Empowering women through conscious Filipina fashion 🇵🇭
The brand name comes from the word “hanap-buhay” (livelihood) as weaving is a main source of livelihood for women weavers in Benguet Province. It also represents the materials used for our products: “mga nahanap at mga hinabi” (things found and things woven). We upcycle old clothes and fabric scraps we find. We match and rework these with local weaves from Cordillera.
Hanap Habi is an all-woman team. We work with a community of home-based women weavers in Benguet and home-based female sewers in Manila. Part of the profit earned from each collection goes back to our women workers.
