Hanap Habi is a fashion social enterprise dedicated to empowering women through conscious Filipina fashion.
Our name comes from the word “hanap-buhay” (livelihood), reflecting how weaving serves as a vital source of income for women weavers in Benguet Province. It also speaks to the materials behind our creations—“mga nahanap at mga hinabi” (things found and things woven).
We upcycle old clothes and fabric scraps, thoughtfully reworking them with locally woven textiles from the Cordillera. Through this process, we transform discarded materials and traditional weaves into garments that celebrate sustainability, craftsmanship, and Filipina identity.
Hanap Habi is proudly a woman-led team. We collaborate with a community of home-based women weavers in Benguet, as well as home-based and community-based women sewers in Metro Manila—creating opportunities for Filipino women while preserving weaving traditions and reimagining how we wear our weaves today.
